ADA offers homeownership assistance

Aug 31, 2011

On Thursday, the Atlanta Development Authority will begin offering 30-year, fixed rate mortgages at 3.5 percent interest. Coupled with up to $50,000 in down payment assistance, also offered by ADA, officials say it is one of the most aggressive homeownership programs currently being offered in the state.

Since 2007, the ADA has provided mortgage assistance to over 850 home buyers with an average income of $45,000 and representing a total of more than $130 million in residential real estate sold within the Atlanta city limits.
