Acworth publishing 150th anniversary book

Acworth is celebrating its 150th anniversary with the publication of a book about the town's history, “Remembering Acworth: Fact, Fun and Trivia.”

The city will hold a book release party from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Acworth Beach House in Cauble Park, 2293 Beach St. The book was written by Abbie Parks, Shirley Walker and Butch Price, a city alderman.

The public is invited to the party. Light refreshments will be served. The price of the book had not been decided late Friday afternoon.
