Acworth police warn of air conditioner thieves

Acworth police are warning residents to be on the lookout for thieves stealing air conditioning units.

Police have received several reports of the units being stolen in the past two days from businesses and residences. The thefts have primarily been in the area of North Main, South Main and Cherokee Streets, and usually occurring when the properties are unoccupied.

Anyone noticing any unusual vehicles or activity in the area should contact the police department by calling 911.
