The Acworth Board of Aldermen voted 5-0 Thursday to buy another parcel in its effort to expand Logan Farm Park.

The lot of $85,000 joins three others approved by the aldermen in August at $315,000. City Manager Brian M. Bulthius told the AJC the acquisitions all have been “negotiated purchases” with “no condemnations.”

Bids will be opened Wednesday morning on a contract for the park’s expansion. Then by mid-October, Bulthius said another $2 million will be expended to further expand the park.

Logan Farm Park presently is a 120-acre park that encompasses the parks formerly known as Terrace Drive Park and Tanyard Creek Park.
