Acworth Mayor Tommy Allegood and the Board of Aldermen are continuing to hold online meetings on Zoom with public comments welcome.

As before the pandemic, Allegood said there are two opportunities for public comments at the beginning and end of each regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of each month.

However, instead of vocal comments, they need to be submitted in writing - either in the Chat Room of Zoom or by email to PublicComments@acworth.org.

While discussions are discouraged, Allegood said comments on agenda items can be posed to him and the aldermen - even individually.

That same email needs to be used by those who would like to view the Acworth public meetings by requesting an invitation to join the Zoom meeting.

Then the Zoom link will be emailed to those making the requests.

However, Allegood said those requesting to join the Zoom meeting must include their first and last names and their Acworth mailing address.

Those granted access can view the meeting online or hear the meeting by phone over Zoom.

They also can view that night’s agenda in the comment section of Zoom and online at http://AcworthCityGa.iqm2.com/Citizens/Default.aspx where they also can view summaries of the meetings.
