Lane closures are possible in the coming days near the Ga. 400 interchange with Northridge Road in Sandy Springs as contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation clear vegetation in preparation for ramp improvements.

Plans call for widening the northbound and southbound entrance ramps to Ga. 400 from one to two lanes, and installing dual lane ramp meters to moderate traffic flow and help prevent crashes, GDOT said.

Weather permitting, crews will start clearing vegetation Monday, Sept. 10.

Some lane closures will be needed to protect workers and drivers, GDOT said. They will be limited to 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, and 9 p.m. Fridays to 5 a.m. Mondays, to avoid peak commute times.
