A luxury apartment building near Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta is getting closer to completion.

Apartment development and management company LMC recently announced the "topping out," or installation of the highest structural piece, of the 310-unit building, named Vireo.

The building at 195 13th Street will offer studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments, some equipped with wine refrigerators, that will range from 486 to 1,242 square feet, the company said.

Amenities are to include a courtyard plaza and a pool with cabanas. As part of the project, the sidewalks on 13th Street will be widened.

Ray Crocker, vice president of development for the Southeast at LMC, said Vireo is situated in “one of the most alluring neighborhoods in the Southeast.”

“We’re eager for our first residents to experience the unique lifestyle offered by the building, which we believe will be among the finest in the neighborhood,” Crocker said in a statement.

Hoar Construction completed the site work, concrete structural frame exterior windows, facade and roofing.

The first move-ins are anticipated for spring 2019.
