A multi-vehicle wreck involving tractor-trailers temporarily closed several lanes of I-285 southbound blocked near South Cobb Drive and Atlanta Road on Tuesday, according to police.

Investigators believe two cars traveling southbound on I-285 caused the chain-reaction crash, the Georgia State Patrol said. Six vehicles were involved in the crash.

Minor injuries were reported, but no one was transported to the hospital, a GSP spokeswoman said. Charges are pending, she said.

Three out of four lanes were blocked after the crash, causing a 4-mile backup and a 65 to 75 minute delay, the Georgia Department of Transportation reported.
