Gwinnett property owners can expect to see tax bills in their mailboxes soon. 2018 property taxes are due Oct. 15. Taxpayers may view and pay their bills online at www.tinyurl.com/GwinnettTaxesNow.
Property owners who signed up for paperless billing will received their bills Aug. 8. Paying online via check is simple, secure and incurs no added convenience fee. Paying via debit card incurs a $3.95 fee and credit cards incur a 2.29 percent fee.
Payments may be mailed to P.O. Box 372, Lawrenceville, Georgia, 30046. Payments by check may be placed in drop boxes 24/7 at any tag office. Payments in person via cash, check, money order, debit card ($3.95) or credit card (2.29 percent) may be made during stated business hours at any Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner’s Office.
For property owners with escrow accounts, tax information will be made available to mortgage companies; however, property owners are responsible to ensure taxes are paid by the due date.
For homes that were sold this year, both the former and current owners will receive a 2018 tax bill. Documents signed at closing determine who pays the taxes.
