Actor Andy Griffith dies at 86

Television legend and Southern icon Andy Griffith died at 86 on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. He was best known for his role on "The Andy Griffith Show," but he found a new audience later in life for his role as the attorney "Matlock." He started his career as a comedian and singer, starring on Broadway and scored with critics in a dramatic role in the film, "A Face in the Crowd."
