The Marietta city council is accepting applications for a non-resident member for the Board of Lights and Water. The board helps to plan, regulate and facilitate competitive utility services to Marietta residents.

Applicants must be a Cobb County resident and a non-resident of the city of Marietta who has received Marietta power and water services (electric, power, water and/or sewer) from the board for at least a year and a half, or a business owner or employee of a business that has received Marietta Power and Water services (electric, power, water and/or sewer) within the service district outside of the city of Marietta for at least a year and a half.

Applications are located in Marietta’s City Clerk’s Office, on the fourth floor of City Hall, 205 Lawrence St., Marietta, Ga. 30060, and online at mariettaga.gov. Completed applications can be mailed to the above address or faxed to 770-794-5523 and will be accepted until noon Friday, June 21, 2013.
