South Fulton bill may get Senate vote Tuesday

March 27, 2015

The Georgia Senate is expected to consider a bill Tuesday that could create a new City of South Fulton.

The Senate will consider an amended version of House Bill 514, which would allow residents of unincorporated South Fulton to vote in November on whether to create the new city. The new version of the bill substitutes a city manager form of government for the strong mayor style originally proposed.

If the Senate approves it, HB 514 would return to the house for consideration.
