Free programs are being offered in Clarkston for adults over age 55, including classes on cooking, sewing, art, music, computer skills and speaking English.

The Seniors on the Go event will provide residents an opportunity to learn about upcoming programs, many of which are designed for older adults who are new to the United States. Attendees will be able to move from table to table as they collect information about available programs.

The Clarkston Community Center at 3701 College Avenue is hosting the event Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon. Info: clarkstoncommunitycenter.org.
