Three city council seats are up for election in Stone Mountain this November. Posts 1, 2, and 3, currently held by Richard Mailman, Steve Wells and Chakira Johnson respectively, are open to candidates.

The qualifying period is 8:30 a.m. Sept. 1 through 4:30 p.m. Sept. 3 at Stone Mountain City Hall, 875 Main St.

The qualifying fee for a council seat candidate is $180. Stone Mountain City Council is composed of six at-large council members who serve a four year term.
