Peachtree Corners has unveiled plans for a pedestrian bridge that city officials hope will become a landmark.

The bridge over Peachtree Parkway would connect The Forum shopping center with the city’s new town center, which is expected to break ground this spring. Renderings show a winding, cabled bridge complete with benches and landscaping.

“We asked our engineers to design a bridge that was `innovative and remarkable,’ which is the city’s tag line, and I think they captured it completely,” Mayor Mike Mason said.
