Not enough Fulton County voters know about proposed transportation tax

Weeks before Fulton County residents vote on a proposed sales tax to fund transportation, county leaders don’t think residents even know the measure is on the ballot.

Those who know about it like the idea, Fulton Chairman John Eaves said. But educating voters is a priority.

“The people who know are supportive,” he said. “Right now, there’s a moderate, at best, level of engagement.”

On top of that, confusion about different choices in Atlanta and the rest of Fulton County could confuse voters.
