Fulton County Manager Dick Anderson continued to remake the county’s troubled Information Technology Department this week, appointing a new director.

Sallie Fulsom Wright, formerly deputy chief information officer at Georgia State University, is the county’s new chief information officer. She will lead an Information Technology Department that has come under scrutiny because of two recent audits that found mismanagement of vendor contracts. She has more than 30 years of experience in IT executive leadership.

“I want to understand what the challenges are and then figure out where we need to be,” Wright said in an interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
