DeKalb County residents can learn how to appeal their property assessments during a town hall meeting Wednesday at Dunwoody City Hall.

The meeting will feature tax attorney Walter Hotz, who will speak about the appeal process and answer questions from residents. The event will be hosted by DeKalb Commissioner Nancy Jester.

Many DeKalb residents saw their homes’ assessed values increase this year, resulted in higher tax bills. Residents who feel their assessments are inaccurate may appeal by July 13.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at 41 Perimeter Center East in Dunwoody.
