Lake Lanier venue to become more accessible
By Arielle Kass
Nov 11, 2015There has been increased interest in Paralympic events at the Lake Lanier Olympic Venue. So the first part of a $10 million renovation, that kicks off Thursday, will help make the 20-year-old venue more accessible.
The first part is a $1.7 million project and includes the addition of ADA-accessible ramps and a bathroom to the 1996 Olympic timing tower.
Other renovations will help make the area a more viable option for weddings, and will bring more visitors to the lake.
