Johns Creek plans to resurface the roads in 26 subdivisions.

The city had originally planned to repave 12 subdivisions, but expanded funding to $5 million from $1.5 million and increased the number of streets.

The move is expected to reduce the city’s five-year repaving timeline by a year.

“To improve our curb appeal, the City Council made the decision to increase the pace of our repaving plan, which helps to promote higher property values as well as our economic vitality,” Mayor Mike Bodker said in a statement.

The work should begin in April and end in the fall.
