I-85 HOT presentation canceled

Oct 28, 2011State Road and Tollway Authority Director Gena Evans has canceled her scheduled presentation on the I-85 HOT lane project, which was to take place next week in Gainesville.
According to the Gainesville-Hall Metropolitan Planning Organization, where she had agreed to speak months ago, Evans has a schedule conflict. A spokeswoman for Evans said she now would be briefing Gov. Nathan Deal on the project instead.
A recent public town hall meeting on the project drew a crowd of frustrated commuters.
