Gwinnett County, your 2016 property tax bill is in the mail.

On Thursday Tax Commissioner Richard Steele announced he had mailed bills to the owners of hundreds of thousands of parcels. They’re due Oct. 15.

For property owners with an escrow account, the bills are paid by mortgage companies (though it’s ultimately up to the owner to make sure it gets paid). Others have several options for payments:

• Pay online by check, credit or debit card at www.GwinnettTaxCommissioner.com. Paying by check is free; debit card: $3.95 flat fee; credit card: 2.29% service fee.

• Mail payments to P.O. Box 372, Lawrenceville, GA 30046.

• Pay by check using drop boxes 24 hours a day at all Gwinnett tag offices.

• Pay in person during business hours at all tax commissioner offices. You can pay with a credit or debit card at the self-service kiosk located in each office.
