Gwinnett County has promoted a longtime parks administrator to lead its Department of Community Services.

On Tuesday the Gwinnett Board of Commissioners is expected to ratify the appointment of Tina Fleming as department director. County Administrator Glenn Stephens appointed her to the position.

Fleming has spent 15 years in various positions in the county parks and recreation division, the largest division in the Department of Community Services. She has served as parks and recreation director since 2009. In addition to parks, Fleming will oversee health and human services, elections, cooperative extension and other services.

Fleming replaces Phil Hoskins, who was promoted to deputy county administrator in 2014. She will earn an annual salary of $140,000.
