Gwinnett official still has support after ‘racist pig’ post

In the days immediately following the Facebook post in which he called civil rights leader and U.S. Rep. John Lewis a “racist pig,” Gwinnett County Commissioner Tommy Hunter received more than 900 emails.

Their contents echoed the divide among many residents of the Hunter’s District 3, which covers a racially and politically diverse swath of southern and eastern Gwinnett County.
