Fulton County has new state representative
Park Cannon is the new state representative for District 58.
Cannon won a runoff Tuesday to fill the unexpired term of Simone Bell, according to unofficial results. He defeated Ralph Long III for the seat.
The county’s legislative delegation is currently evenly split between Democrats and Republicans, so Cannon’s election will tip the delegation’s power to the Democrats.
About 4 percent of eligible voters cast votes in the election.
