East Cobb water line project to cause traffic delays

Sept 11, 2015

A massive $42 million project — burying six miles of 54-inch waterlines — is expected to cause traffic jams in East Cobb until the project is completed in 2017.

The project, which begins Sept. 19, is needed to increase the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority’s ability to deliver drinking water to 10 utilities throughout the state, including the Cobb County and Marietta water systems.

The project has been planned since 2000. To read more about it, go to myajc.com.
