A California home-fashion retailer’s $3.7 million decision to open an east coast distribution and customer service center in Douglas County will bring 115 jobs to the area.

Z Gallerie will open a distribution center with 225,000-square-feet of office and warehouse space in the Skyview Business Center in Lithia Springs. The center is expected to be in full operation by 2019.

The Douglas facility is part of the company’s expansion of its distribution operations in the Southeast.

“Georgia’s geographic location provides an optimal distribution point to service our present and future customer needs,” said Victor Navarrette, vice president of operations. “With the region’s access to highway, rail and port, Z Gallerie will be able to optimize efficiencies and cost in delivering products to our stores and customers throughout the U.S.”

Z Gallerie has stores at Atlantic Station and Perimeter Mall. It is a home furnishing, art and decorative accessory retail business based out of the Los Angeles area. It is privately-owned by siblings Joe Zieden, Mike Zieden and Carole Malfatti who grew the company from a small poster shop in 1979.
