Trash pickups throughout DeKalb will be delayed one day both next week and the week after.

The county announced that because it observes Christmas Day on Monday this year, collection of garbage, recyclable material and yard trimming will be delayed a day.

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031.
