The Clayton County Chamber of Commerce has a new leader.

Jeremy Stratton became the chamber's chief executive April 18. He succeeds Yulonda Darden Beauford who resigned in December to take a job with the Atlanta Technical College.

Stratton brings more than 19 years of chamber and economic development experience to the job working in Tennessee, Virginia, and the Carolinas. During his career, Stratton brought more than $650 mllion and more than 6,500 jobs to the communities where he worked. Stratton has a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. He has been a certified economic developer since 2009.
