A bill submitted by Sen. Josh McKoon, R-Columbus, would speed up child custody hearings for single military parents who are about to be deployed.

Senate Bill 112 sets guidelines that would be used for determining who would get custody of children during a deployment and how children would be returned to the primary caregiver upon return.
