Feb 3, 2015A $5 million center for senior citizens opened this week in Decatur featuring facilities for dancing, yoga, tai chi, a clinic-level patient meeting room, classrooms and a kitchen.
Hundreds of seniors joined government officials Monday for the grand opening of the 15,000-square-foot building.
“Seniors are the fastest-growing age group in our county, and it’s important that we continue to show our commitment to them,” said Interim DeKalb County CEO Lee May.
The Central DeKalb Senior Center is located at 1346 McConnell Drive in Decatur.
