A large mixed-use development is slated to replace most of the Martha Moore school property in downtown Kennesaw, a project that could transform the city center.

The development, tentatively named “Creekside,” is scheduled for completion by fall, 2019.

Plans for Creekside include 286 rental apartments and 71 town homes anchored by breweries, retail, restaurants and office space.

Dry County Brewing Company and Wise Owl Brewing Company have already signed on to the project, and Lazy Guy whiskey distillery is also poised to join, according to Chad Howie, president of Sanctuary Companies. Sanctuary is developing the project alongside Core Property.

“It’s going to redefine downtown Kennesaw as a destination location,” Howie said.
