Big week ahead for Southern Regional

This is a big week coming up for Southern Regional Medical Center, the financially-beleaguered hospital in Riverdale.

It has two suitors eager to hook up with the hospital, which filed for reorganization under the bankruptcy laws in July. A couple of bankruptcy proceedings this week could translate to Southern Regional having a new owner and a new direction for the 331-bed facility.
