Ever wanted to ride the Atlanta Streetcar, but just didn’t have the time or money?

The city of Atlanta has a solution.

On Tuesday, the Atlanta Streetcar will offer free rides all day during the normal operating hours of 6 a.m. until 11 p.m.

“Free Fare Day,” according to city officials, is a way to express appreciation to loyal riders and offer new customers and visitors the opportunity to try the system at no charge.

The Atlanta Streetcar is a public transportation system that runs a 2.7 mile East-West route with 12 stops. It connects the Centennial Olympic Park area to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic site, and operates seven days a week.

The route includes the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center and Historic Site, the Center for Civil and Human Rights, the Georgia Aquarium, Centennial Olympic Park and the College Football Hall of Fame.
