Another Gwinnett commissioner seeks re-election

March 4, 2016

Another incumbent Gwinnett County commissioner says he’ll seek re-election this year.

Tommy Hunter says he’ll seek a second term representing District 3, which covers eastern Gwinnett. The Buford Republican first won the seat four years ago, ousting incumbent Mike Beaudreau.

The other two incumbent commissioners up for election this year – Charlotte Nash and District 1 Commissioner Jace Brooks – have already announced they will seek re-election.

Whether or not they face opposition is a question that will be answered next week, when candidates must formally file to run for office.
