Sendy Wilburn was pushed down bleachers inside Stephenson Middle School in late 2001, leaving her with injuries she said will never heal.

But, she says, working with the DeKalb County School District to all herself a shot at a normal life has been more painful.

She’s lived off $400 a week paid out through workers compensation nearly 15 years. And the district won’t settle her case, she says.
