The DeKalb County School District is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Barack H. Obama Elementary Magnet School of Technology Thursday.

The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at the school, at 3132 Clifton Church Road in Atlanta.

The school was named after the 44th president of the United States by the DeKalb County Board of Education in July. It opened in a temporary building a month later, before moving to its permanent location.
