DeKalb County schools will open on a normal schedule Monday morning after the weekend storm that iced over roads.

Scores of traffic accidents, including two fatal crashes, were blamed on the weather, but state road officials said Sunday afternoon that the worst was over.

At least one metro Atlanta district was uncertain Sunday afternoon about whether all roads would be safe for school buses, but DeKalb County School District spokesman Quinn Hudson said in the afternoon that his district officials had decided to open on the normal schedule Monday morning -- unless conditions change significantly.
