Lifeline Animal Project, a nonprofit that supports no-kill animal shelters across metro Atlanta, announced it will honor the Atlanta Falcons by waiving adoptions fees, including microchip, spay/neuter and vaccinations, for all cats and dogs weighing more than 25 pounds on Sunday at its four shelters.

The Falcons’ clinching the NFC Championship inspired the Super Bowl promotion, according to Lifeline’s website.

"We are so proud to be Atlantans. And when we watched our Atlanta Falcons clinch the NFC Championship, we knew we had to celebrate! It's time to RISE UP, Atlanta!"

In addition to waiving the fees, Lifeline will also host a Kitten Bowl Party from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at its Cat Adoption Center at 3172 E. Ponce De Leon Ave.
