A superior court judge has given the Georgia Attorney General’s Office and the city of Cumming until Aug. 9 to resolve an open meetings dispute or he will hear supplemental evidence in the case. The attorney general is suing Cumming over an incident last year in which a woman was ordered to stop filming a city council meeting.
The city presented arguments Thursday claiming it was immune from prosecution by another government under the Sovereign Immunity provision of the state constitution.
