Nine people were injured in a multivehicle crash on I-85 in DeKalb County on Sunday, officials said.

The driver of a white Dodge Caravan is in critical condition, DeKalb police said Monday morning in a statement. The rest of the injuries were not considered life-threatening.

The crash on I-85 South started when an orange Honda Fit stopped in front of the Dodge Caravan near Pleasantdale Road in the second from the right lane, police said.

The Caravan veered left but struck the Honda Fit on the left rear side, according to authorities. That caused it to travel into the left lanes, where it was struck by a Honda Pilot and a Ford Ranger, police said.

The crash is under investigation.
