According to the Daily Mail, a man in Saudi Arabia sought medical help for his frequent nosebleeds. The man reported having one nosebleed per month for the last three years.
Upon examination, doctors discovered the culprit: a hard white mass that measured about a half inch long inside the man’s nasal cavity.
A dentist confirmed that the mass was indeed a tooth.
The extra tooth created friction when the man rubbed his nose, which triggered irritation and bleeding.
Medical experts say that extra teeth are not that unusual, but to find one growing inside a nose is quite rare. Doctors are especially puzzled by how long it took to discover the extra tooth. The man otherwise has a normal, well-aligned set of teeth.
Doctors were able to remove the extra tooth successfully and the man reports he no longer has nosebleeds.
