Both candidates in the tight race for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District run-off are preparing for Tuesday’s debate.

You can watch the debate LIVE ONLY ON Channel 2 starting at 8 p.m. The debate will also be streamed LIVE on WSBTV.com and the official WSB-TV Facebook page.

Republican Karen Handel spent Monday morning speaking to business leaders at the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce breakfast.

She said she’s confident in her campaign.

“I feel great,” Handel said, taking time out from debate preps. “I feel very optimistic about things. There is a tremendous amount of enthusiasm on the part of Republicans coming out to the polls. We’re seeing it in turnout, whether it be absentee ballot or in-person voting.”

Handel said the hardest part of a debate is condensing her answers to the time allotted by debate rules.

Democrat Jon Ossoff spent Monday morning visiting a Meals on Wheels facility in Chamblee.

Outside his Sandy Springs campaign office, he said his team is getting ready for the debate, and he remains confident in his campaign and its message.

“I feel good,” Ossoff said. “I feel confident. I’m glad that the voters will have a chance to hear from both candidates tomorrow. I’m going to present a vision for fresh leadership that’s focused on getting things done and greater accountability in Washington.”

The latest WSB-TV, Landmark Communication poll showed Ossoff with a narrow lead over Handel but well within the margin of error and the number of undecided voters.
