Police have identified the man and woman killed in a murder-suicide Saturday night in Gwinnett County.
The victims were Rubii Cross, 34, and her husband, Leo Cross, 43, Gwinnett County police said Monday. They lived in the 2800 block of Mossy Creek Drive in the Stone Mountain section of unincorporated Gwinnett County. Police found both bodies there after responding to a call about domestic dispute.
Police had obtained a search warrant after “there was concern for the safety of the female,” according to a Gwinnett County police department statement. They think Leo Cross shot his wife before shooting himself just as officers arrived, police said.
The case is being treated as a murder-suicide and there are no other suspects, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on Sunday.
No children were at the home at the time of the deaths. The couple’s next-of-kin have been notified.
