Gwinnett County police found a man shot multiple times at a Buford apartment Friday.

Police found the body just inside a Hartford Run apartment, behind the front door, after responding to a 911 call around 4:45 p.m. No other people were inside the apartment when police arrived, Cpl. Michele Pihera said.

The victim is believed to be in his late 20s, she said.

Multiple guns were found inside the home, but it is unclear if any of them are the murder weapon, she said.

Authorities are not releasing the name until the man’s family is notified.

Police ask people with information on the case to contact Detective Brucz directly at 770-513-5300. To remain anonymous, tipsters should contact Crime Stoppers at 404 577-TIPS (8477) or visit www.crimestoppersatlanta.org. Crime Stoppers tipsters can receive up to $2,000.
