Gwinnett County police on Friday were investigating an overnight slaying at an extended stay hotel in Peachtree Corners.
Police spokesman Edwin Ritter said Eric Marshall was found dead in a breezeway of a Homestead Extended Stay in the 7000 block of Jimmy Carter Boulevard. Marshall, either 31 or 32 years old, had been shot multiple times when he was found around 1:20 a.m. Friday.
Police believe Marshall moved to the area recently and that he may be from California. Police also believe the killing may be drug related.
