The Jasper man whose newlywed wife died last year in a wedding day wreck has been indicted on multiple charges, including first-degree vehicular homicide.
Authorities contend Ryan Quinton, 28, was driving drunk when the couple’s sports car veered off a Cherokee County road on Dec. 29, just hours after their wedding.
Quinton’s bride, 25-year-old Kali Dobson, died.
The GBI crime lab determined that Quinton's blood alcohol level was 0.114. The legal limit for most drivers in Georgia is 0.08.
Quinton told investigators he was trying to avoid hitting a dog when he lost control of his car on Ga. 5 in Ball Ground.
Last week, a Cherokee grand jury indicted Quinton on charges of vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and reckless driving, according to local media reports.
Quinton was out of jail on bond from the December incident when he was arrested late last month for DUI in Pickens County. His Cherokee County bond was revoked and he was re-arrested by Cherokee deputies.
