Sparks Hall on the Georgia State University campus was temporarily evacuated Monday afternoon following a report of a suspicious package, a university spokeswoman said. The package was determined to be harmless and the building was re-opened.

The package under investigation was in an office, according to Andrea Jones, spokeswoman for the university. Sparks Hall is on Courtland Street.

The university’s police department and Emergency Management Agency investigated the package.
