A Warner Robins woman has been charged with murder after an attempted robbery in which another woman was shot and killed with her own gun.

The incident happened about 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Fred Drive, according to WMAZ, citing the Warner Robins Police Department.

The deceased woman was identified as 21-year-old Kyndal Reynolds.

Police allege Reynolds was with 42-year-old Tywana Cody when they met two men earlier in the evening and then tried to rob the pair after they all got into a car together, WMAZ reported.

Investigators said Reynolds was the one pointing the gun, according to reports.

A struggle ensued as one of the men tried to grab the weapon, which fired and hit Reynolds. She was taken to Houston Medical Center, where she died, the station reported.

There was no indication of the type of gun used nor where Reynolds was wounded.

After an investigation, Cody was taken into custody on charges of being a party to aggravated assault, attempted armed robbery and felony murder, WMAZ reported.

The men have not been charged in the case.
