GBI to probe police involved shooting in Social Circle
The GBI will investigate a police involved shooting in Social Circle Friday afternoon.
According to reports to the GBI, a Social Circle police officer stopped a vehicle on North Cherokee Road for a traffic incident. The officer said that Donald Lee Cleary, 78, got out of the vehicle and assaulted her.
The officer then fired one shot, hitting Cleary in the abdomen.
He was airlifted to the Atlanta Medical Center for treatment.
